Sisyphus Publications, A Limited Liability Company was founded in 2017. Since its inception, Sisyphus has garnered multiple awards (for content and design), and has received numerous accolades. The imprint is, at least for now, a "vanity" imprint — but I hope to expand its future offerings to make it a full-fledged independent press.
The imprint takes its name and inspiration from the Greek Myth of Sisyphus, the founder and king of Ephyra (now known as Corinth). Sisyphus was punished for cheating death (not once but twice) by being forced to roll an immense boulder up a hill only for it to roll down every time it neared the top, repeating this action for eternity. Through the classical influence on modern culture, tasks that are both laborious and futile are therefore described as Sisyphean.
